gunna cry

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

Harsh one mate!
i've just had a crash a few days back :(

Which leads me on to this question:
I need a leftside front headlight, aswell as the front spoiler under the bumper?

I was gutted that i smashed up the front of my car, but least mine is repariable.

Brake parts...

Post by default_user » Wed Feb 14, 2007 5:41 pm

Hi mate. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. You're OK and that's the main thing. Been there, done it, have been very pissed off about it but you'll get over it and be able to laugh about it in time.

Anyway, to help you out financially I need a rear drivers side brake caliper that works properly. On mine the handbrake mechanism binds on quite badly. If yours is OK may I buy it?

Cheers,
Rick.

Bad luck mate,

Unless its human, I will run it over. I will brake, but I will never, ever swerve.
I learnt that after nearly crashing my first 480 avoiding a fox, compare that to smashing my grille hitting a badger at 40mph, and I'll take the hit every time.

Live and learn, your OK, which is the main thing.

Hitting large living things in a car is never a good idea (tho rolling it is probably a worse one) - they usually do more damage than you might expect. And always suffer more damage than they expect.

I remember when my brother hit an old deer (yes, a fully grown deer, not an old dear) in his Scirocco and it made one hell of a mess of the front end. Looked like he'd run into a tree.

Tasted good tho. :D

Better than a tree. Or a badger.

And more illegal.
