Exterior strips on doors

I noticed that the tops of the 'bumper' strips on the outside of my doors seemed to be growing moss! One was loose so I decided to take it off completely to restick it properly. when I removed it there is a 'dent' in the length of the door (meant to be there not damage) and this was full of stagnant water <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :eek --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/eek.gif ALT=":eek"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> <br><br>I decided to remove all the exterior trim, and after a bit of work to remove the left over adhesive I have to say I think it looks quite neat, and I'm not concerned about water collecting anymore <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :D --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> <p></p><i></i>

When I had my car partially resprayed, they removed the door strips. I think the car looks better without them. <p></p><i></i>
