Auotmatic just gets worse

Hi,<br><br>I'm really sure it's my gearbox making this strange sound and it's getting louder it sounds like this (Whoop) when I change from 2 - 4th. I know no-one could really answer this last time but I'm hoping someone will know what it is this time round.<br><br>It's a 480S 92, 87K. Transmission oil OK.<br> <p></p><i></i>

"whoop" sounds like bearings to me, there a lot of them in a gearbox....<br>mmmmm....<br> <p></p><i></i>

Is that going to cost a lot of money to fix? I'm taking a day off work this week to take it to the transmission shop. <p></p><i></i>

I am no automatic expert, but...<br>i know to fix a autog.box is expencive, a mate from mine had the "same" with a jaguar and a scorpio... He told me the best was to buy a scrap gearbox.. Noooo and I only just paid the debt card and we are saving for a house. Lifes a bitch to some lol, Also why is it cheaper to insure a 2lt then a 1.7i auto? <br><br>I saw this on www.directline.com I'm real worried about my gearbox. <p></p><i></i>

Hello,<br><br>I have checked the oil and it looks OK (Haynes manual) I will change it anyway. I go to Germany a lot. I will maybe have a look when I next fly there (Wednesday) <p></p><i></i>
