The new addition has arrived!

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

The new addition has arrived!

Post by clubman_dan » Sat Nov 11, 2006 1:14 pm

i picked up my new 480 turbo today, (my 3rd 480 in a year!)
its the one that was advertised here and on the volvo club forum, for £1500 i went and had a look on wednesday, all ready to nit pick and try and haggle the guy, but there was nothing to nit pick! the car is IMACULATE! it has been maintained with genuine volvo parts regardless of cost. eg brand new front lenses recently.
it has air con, which is lovely! and it has the optional steering wheel, rear speakers in the pockets and hard boot liner.
it also has a pollen filter which is nice, no more leaves coming throught the vents!!
it has been waxoyled yearly from new!!!
the old owner had it from new, and there is a huge pile of invoices, including orginal brochures and accesories lists etc!!!
i am obviously dead chuffed!!!
pics later
cheers

I think steering wheels are standard on all cars nowadays, Dan.

But seriously, I am drooling. What a beauty!
Tonee: '93 Two Tone. High mileage but nice 'n' tidy.
Sheba: '91 ES Paris Special. Love that leather, baby. Scrapped and used as a spares car.

You mean telekinetic? Telepathic is the ability to read people’s minds

Very nice Dan-a good clean example there! I'd be too scared to drive one that clean...the cleaning routine would be very regimented!

Nice one! :D

Wow what superb condition its in, a credit to its owners. Nice to know there are 480's in this condition still knocking around.

While mine was in for mot a few months back the garage mentioned they'd had a lady in who'd inherited a 1990 that had been garaged the last 5 years and had less than 10,000 on the clock. Unfortunatley it turned out to be so rusty it wouldn't pass its mot. :(
