Well, I wouldn't say it was unhappy....more me than it! I treat it with the respect it deserves.....with out it I would be stuck!

May I add, it is for sale....2 litre Gia...new tyres...good car Ã‚Â£1650, and yes I do get commission

well i am finally back on the road in the 480 after my little incident, complete with new subframe!! it always feels good to get back into after driving *ordinary* cars for a while!!

Sooo jealous that you are back in your 480.

Mine could take ages.

So there I am fighting in the wind and rain with a car cover to try and keep her dry....the things I do for that car

Never understood why car covers don't have fixings at each wheel...all the covers I have had I have had to make holes and attach rope to tie to the wheels

Post a pic of your 'back on the road' 480 to keep my spirits up please

Well, today, one new front brake disc went on (the other one will be done after rusted bolt is removed), along with my lovely SS downpipe with new gaskets. Broken gear linkage is off and 480 is awaiting the cleaned up and sorted replacement, so when that is done an engine flush and new oil & filter.

New set of Lumenition HT leads on order too.

Still waiting for the welding work to be done. The interior is all out, and in my house...makes for a good seat for the kids!

I have now got my lovely shiny rear clusters, which will be going in as soon as we have sourced the best way to reseal them.

I'm also waiting for a quote from Spray Tech for doing the painting of the door, front wing and bumper....pics have been sent to them, but the guy I need to speak to never seems to be in..should hear tomorrow.

Replacement shocks also to go in...still debating to go with Vaders old lowered springs also or keep her standard...I vote lowered!!

I will post some pics of how she's looking tomorrow as it's dark now.

Martin is doing a fantastic job in keeping it all going...my bank account is too

I got a great quote today to respray the wing, bumper and door...Ã‚Â£350..very pleased with that. I'm just so pleased I kept the good panels off my other 480.

Still no word of when the welding will be done. It's been great weather for it, and knowing my luck it will turn bad when my mate can start. Oh well, we'll see.

Gear linkage is looking great now, and ready to be put on.

The time has come to SORN her now

but not for too long I hope.

Oh yeah...got my Prancing moose stickers for the front wings from the States last week!

Returning from Edinburgh to Aberdeen last week-end......passed a Ferrari and slowed down to have a look.

The driver's face was a picture when he saw my prancing meece on the side of my near side front wing. !!!

He acknowledged with a thumbs up.

As for a an update....Martin did get out the evil bolt!
Gear box end plate replaced with shiny new one
gear box and engine oil changed
gear linkage fitted
All went well yesterday, but she still looks the same

but everything that is done, however small and unnoticeable is a step closer to getting back on the road

The damn bolt came out but it snapped my socket adapter in half (draper expert) so I ended up using my dad's 3/8 adapter (snap on) which of course worked but I was lifting the car up trying to undo the rusted bolt until it cracked off.

BTW The tools used are great and have already paid for themselfs because today I worked on dad's 2004 Skoda and the bolts holding the drive shaft are splined and are shit. Used the bolt remover and saved us removing the whole engine.

Back to Volvo!

The new end plate looks really nice and was very much needed.

All the jobs went well really and much closer to having the 480 back on the road
