How about a drive up to the Dales? 30 mins up to Pool, Otley, Burley, Ilkley or a bit further to Skipton and they all have pups and rugby clubs which usually have car parks and facilities for bbq etc...

Meeting in the UK sounds like a plan man! I've barely been able to acknowledge the existence of any other 480's since owning mine for a few months now. Be great to get together with some others that share the interest and actually see some others. I'm in birmingam so not a million miles away.

I can come and show off my rusty wheel arches! Yey!

Ok, it sounds like some kind of a plan is coming together:

Saturday 22nd September 2012, meet up in Leeds around midday, have some lunch, take a drive out somewhere picturesque (Skipton, Malham , Dales etc), stop for a pint and photo shoot, then either head off from there or return to Leeds for a relaxed evening 'event' at a friendly hostelry before dispersing to the four corners with great memories and the fond hope of spotting another 480 somewhere on our barren roads till the next time..

I actually can't make it either, but trying to fit me in will be very hard as it will be Rugby season and that's pretty much every week, mind you I'm only at Knottingley that day so could join you lot after, if any are still around.

Well in lieu of any better ideas I've suggested the commercial centre where my business is based. It'll serve as an initial meeting place well enough.

There's plenty of parking space which will be empty on a Saturday
It's not public so no unwanted attention
It's about 5 mins from the motorways
We'll be on the right side of the city centre should we wish to carry on into North Yorkshire as has been suggested.
There are toilet facilities and I could even rustle up a cup of tea for those in need of one!

As I say if someone can think of a better idea then please fire away!
