Someone fitted a rear spoiler

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

Someone fitted a rear spoiler

A bit boy racer-ish as it doesnt continue the line of the roof in my opinion

I've seen another type of rear spoiler on ebay which supposedly fits the 480. Maybe some member of the forum made it?

Sad sad sad. That is literally a spoiler. Spoils the look of the car.

Never seen the first one, but the second one kinda looks like the one Dave Slater (DBS) used to make...

Not really my cup of tea, think the first one is just a remnant of a traffic accident where a piece of metal kept stuck on the roof of a 480. The second one comes closer, but it's too big and too round for a 480. If the lines were more straight and the corners were smaller and a 3rd braking light was included, perhaps!

I reckon something of a similar size and shape to the front splitter would look good-with the sides trailing down the side of the tailgate glass

I reckon anything in that area just spoils the line.

I always thought the spoiler from a citroen AX would fit quite nicely on a 480
