electric 480?!

Currently failing to do any work so I thought I'dd do a little search of ''volvo 480'' and came across this page:

Halfway down, in the prototypes section it claims there was a 480 with an electric drivetrain Has anyone any knowledge of this? I've never seen anything on this site or elsewhere

Yes, back in the day volvo experimented with the electric engine:





According to volvo top speed is 118 km/h and range is 120 km. Battery charge time is around 45 minutes, and in the first 15 minutes of charging the batteries already hold 50% capacity due to innovative rapid-charge system.
