Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

Hi everyone!
I'm called Dave and I'm 18 and currently drive a 98 V70 AWD. Here's a link to my thread on the uk Volvo Owners forum:
http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=76380 .
The car means a lot to me but the autobox has just given up on me so I need another car for transport so i decided I want a real tidy 480!
I've won an auction on ebay for a really tidy looking one which I'll collect in the week sometime. I've always liked 480's since I was 5 when I moved into this house where a neighbour around the corner had one who now have a fippin' mini!
Looking forward to becoming an owner!

Thank you for the welcome.
The one I won was the expensive celebration.

I liked the Flame Red paint, the fact it was a manual and that it was as new as a 480 can get.
I'm now really looking forward to get behind the wheel and break my virginity!!

Welcome! Get that V70 back on the road ASAP, because with 480 you never know when it decides to take a rest

hmmmm... not sure about that as the car's so original and tidy. It's still got it's original dealer sticker in the rear window, even got their keyfob!!
There is a slight rust scab on the nearside sill though which I should sort ASAP. It's not a hole, but has lifted the paint
