Was the 480 ever Homologated for motorsport?

As is says in the title does anyone know if the 480 was ever Homologated for motorsport?

There was a Volvo 480 active in the predessor of Belcar (belgium race class)

I dont know about the homologation of this car.

The Group A 480 is a nice and fast car
