The shitty one is what came off and the greased up one is what went on. I changed over the shock. I need to change the other side today. Just order a few more bits likes front anti roll bar drop link.

Martin did so much these past 2 days.....and at the last minute I really piss him off......So sorry martin

It was a stressful couple of days really. The bumper was missing half the clips used to mount the spoiler! The grill and all lights are attached again,

Replaced all the rusty screws with new ones so should stay rust free for a while

When fitting the new bumper I had to replace one of the block holding brackets and rivet it on.

The passenger side arch cover is ripped towards the front so I'll be looking to fab up a patch and attach it to what's left. Make it look pretty too.

Damaged my jack after it got stuck under the car. That pissed me off somewhat

For some reason I can not close the new door without it being too far out at the bottom. I'll do a thread on it. http://volvo480.dragons.org.uk/forum/vi ... hp?t=17866

Brake SS bolts are fitted and should never give another problem

Did loads of little silly jobs which take forever and your never see it again.

Started the engine and it run and idles with zero problem. The gear lever also feels better so Rach says.

When this is finished we can get back to normal stuff again. What the hell is wrong with my hair! I never thought it looked that bad. Sod it I'm going to shave what's left off.

Which hold the brake pad bracket to the hub. No more rust

I had massive problems getting the damn bolts out before.

Tis the only front wheel drive car I have ever owned....I use to dis em big time!!!!

Lets focus on the original thread like you suggested Murf.....got loads more done today.....she's all sorted apart from the door which should be done at the weekend

So close to the mot, and disaster strikes! Noticed the front strut top mounting bolts had not been tightened, so I began to tighten....then snap...one bolt gone

So off it has to come again, the bolt removed and it all put back together again.

Oh well, could have been worse I guess, but could have cried at the time.

Well for those who might be interested, all is sorted.....removed shock and spring, got the broken bolt drilled out, new bolts, and all replaced.
