1990 Mini City E, 998cc - SXI 4129

(Semi-Present - SORN for interesting winter restoration.)

1995 Volvo 480 S, 1721cc - L1 4BOS

(Present - Daily work horse while Mini is off the road.)

Whats next? Wish for a VW Camper (Type 2 or Wedge) or I'd settle for a Volvo 240.

Well I started with a 1.1 Renault 5 (this is not mine but mine was identical...)

Then I got my first 480ES...

Then I got my second 480ES...

Then I got a volvo 740 estate...(not my car but was identical)

Then I got a new 480ES(shown with my old red one)

Then I got the turbo...

and then I got a 1993 S for spares...

Not bad considering I have only been driving for a year and a half

I'm currently in search of a new turbo aswell

Dont have pics of all my cars on teh comp so ill give you a run down.

1st> Fiat Cinq
2nd> Ax gt (loved it to bits ran 16.4 qutr mile

)

3rd> Rover 820t (good motorway cruiser but not my style, love a hot hatch)
4th> Clio, have had it over 2 yrs now love it, now getting turbo'd

5th> Corsa, bought as a run around whilst clio was in garage for winter, spent too much money modding it

My firs car was this
A mazda 626 GC from 1984 with a 2,0l singel carby engine. Got it for free. All rusted out and realy in a bad state. But got it running again. Did some suspention work. Stiff'd it up, better wheels, nice good grip low profile tires. Some moderate head work - port polish, valves grinded in properly, valve opening and so on, then bigger jet carby on the second barrel (opened @ 3500 rpm). and a cold air intace on the hood with a 360deg open filter.

PS. this cars license plate is going on my 480

Now the second one was my first Volvo (in adition to the old rusted out and non moving Volvo 142) - a 1987 744 turbo intercooler with Haas tuning bodykit and a turbo interior (black with leather seats)
On that one replaced the head, again some polishing, valv grinding to seal properly, adjustmend, new A cam instead of original T cam, Gave smooth power up up up and away. Turbo boost adjustment to 0,8 bar. De-cat(replaced with a straight troug resonator), true 3" exhaust to the last muffler box, then to 2,5" stainless steel out. Lowered 4cm and new stiffer gas shocks from KYB. This one got rear ended and killed by a BMW

And last one is Volvo 480 turbo from 1994. ABS, SRS and so on. Leather interior.Realy in a good condition. Plans for this one. Hmm, ry to make a replica Haas tuning bodykit in the winters time, lower it, stiffer shocks. New 16" rims. some better audio in it. And keep it in good running order. No engine tuning this moment. It's a daily driver, so no messing around there. Maby a better free flowing exhaust with a 2,5"cat and some custom backbox. Intake side is realy a good one on these cars (has a cold air intace already)

Most people have seen the ES and GT, unfort can't find any photo's of the turbo or most of the other cars I have so here's a couple out the archive...

Me (19yrs old) with my 1st car, MG Midget just after I'd restored her and finished her final top coat (British Racing Green of course).

At the start of the restoration, taking the engine out with my handy farm engine hoist.

3years later after doing a 2year classic car restoration course, start complete ground up restoration of my MGBGT. Under the cheap respray it was nothing but rust and filler.

After a 5year restoration (comuting weekends from London to the farm in Wales), went like a bomb, and one of the most solid MG's I've ever driven (if I do say so myself)

Well I don't have pictures of all of mine, trying to find examples though,

My first car: 1989 Mazda 323 GLX 1.5

Second Car: 1990 480 ES, Nothing worked just went forwards and backwards

Third Car: 1994 480 S

Forth Car: 1989 480 ES (Spares Car) Never drove it, just towed it back and broke it for parts

Fifth Car: 1995 480 Celebration 191/480

Sixth Car: 1990 Nissan Micra :

Seventh Car: 1991 Renault Clio

Eighth Car: 1991 480 ES

Ninth Car: 1989 Nissan Micra

Tenth Car: 1994 440 TD

Wow didn't realise I have had so many cars

This was my first car...'Lily'. 1.3 Escort Popular Plus. Nippy as hell though! (1 yr)

Second was 'Getrude'...440 1.7 GLEi. First Volvo

(bargain too at Â£500) (1 yr)

Third was 'Sophie'. 440 2.0i SE. First proper mod'd car...(3 yrs)

Without bodykit bumper...

And obviously 'Ursula' (or Persil as Groomus refers to her!) (currently 1 yr)

First car was a Volvo 480ES red 1987 driven during summer period. A Toyota corolla 1991 handled the winters.

Nowdays, I have a Volvo 480GT 1994 as summer car

and a corolla again as winter car.

Second car: (started as bog standard 1.8 diesel and ended up like this with 1.6 cvh power)

Ended up like this after i sold it (you thought yours was bad dan!)

Then I had a Peugeot Mi16 for all of 5 mins (no pic)
Escort Cabriolet (still have in a million bits)

As is now:

Vauxhall Senator 3.0 24v (excellent fun!)
Volvo 850 T5

Vauxhall Carlton GSi 3.0 24v (should never have sold it)

Hi,
my first car was a Toyota Corolla SR12V which I hab quite a while ...
after that I had switched / test drinving to the 480 but it had some faults and was quite expensive ... so I decided to change to a Nissan Sunny *gg*
But after some time I had the chance to buy the 480 which I had been driving for some time before very cheap ...
and since then I didnÂ´t have another car ( think I have it since 2003 now ) and I donÂ´t want another car

switched back to the winter tyres today ... so the next time no really fast drinving ^^

Well ... this is very easy for me ...

First was the 1992 1.7i Volvo 480ES in black ...

Then the 1994 2.0i Volvo 480GT in flame red ...

... and now the 1995 1.7i Volvo 480Turbo in dark grey metallic ...

So really, the 480 is all i've really known!
