Newbie presents 480 ice installation

Here you can post things about ICE (In Car Entertainment). Like how to install GPS navigation, a DVD-player and other yuppie-stuff. This category might be moved to "those other things" in the end...

Yes, welcome to the club from another member of the white appreciation society! :D

Tidy job on the speakers but as Martin said, has it restricted the boot entirely?

Thanks peeps, put a lot of time into making it!

Heres a tip for anyone who is making a parcel shelf: first make a template out of cardboard and use that to mark your mdf, this ensures you get a perfect fit :D

This does restrict access to the boot but putting a flap or something in would be pointless because of the boot shape it would have to be really small. Anyways can still get stuff in & out by putting the rear seats down :D

One of my mates did that, with a flap, and it's fine, he's got boot space, and the ICE fitted in great ! So I guess that's the best way to do it, so I guess I'll be doing it that way too...

hey ... looks very good ... welcome to the world of 6x9's ...

I didn't want to loose the boot completely, so i did decide to cut a hole and it's very effective ... great access to the pond ;) hehe!

Here is a pic of the one i did ...

I have an MDF template to make a shelf like snailslimes, after Edd copied mine for his.
If anyone wants to get the materials and come down to mark it out.....
need to keep it as eventually Richards car will probably be getting one too.
