amp connection

So there i was ...

going to put my 4 channel amp into my 1992 480ES, initially to power the 6x9's, but with the view to install my twin subs (2x10â€) later.

In previous cars I have ran â€¦

the ampâ€™s power cable straight onto the battery ...

the remote wire â€˜piggy backedâ€™ onto the semi-live heater â€¦

the earth direct onto the chassis through the seat belts in the back â€¦

I can see NO way of getting the power cable in about the battery â€¦ I even took out the glove box to thumble about â€¦

How on earth is this possible in the 480 ... but somehow you all seem to manage â€¦ or does someone have a secret that i should be let in on?!

Inside teh engine bay, look at the anti rill bar, feel on the bulkhead below the anti roll bar, there is a grommet there.
If you remove the piece of black trim above the passengers feet, the hole comes out right at the back there, there is a perforated circle in the foan soundproofing you can pull out that lines up with this grommett. thats where mine are routed.
