Aux hotwire for Kenwood

Here you can post things about ICE (In Car Entertainment). Like how to install GPS navigation, a DVD-player and other yuppie-stuff. This category might be moved to "those other things" in the end...

Aux hotwire for Kenwood

Post by pol » Wed Apr 06, 2005 4:17 pm

Just for fun I thought I might try and wire in an aux for my old Kenwood stereo and wire it up in my room?? It has no aux input. It has a changer control. can I hard wire a lead into it to play somehow?

Sure Murf said he did something like this???

yeah, for a blaupunkt.
you can buy a cd changer port adapter that will do this job for £30 to use specifically with kenwood units, i think kenwood make it themselves.
if your not fussed, get a pinout for the adapter and wire your own inputs, soldered straight onto the pcb! :D
