The software is Daqfactory, it's an MMI interface package. But it's ok for what I am doing, plus it supports full data logging (either averages over a time period, or logging all captured data!). It's aslo able to do control functions, such as PID loops, switch outputs on based on any parameter (or function based on any number of inputs).
Fairly cool stuff
Yes it can do dials and gauges, but they aren't all that usefull, not when you can have a scrolling trend.
The hardware is a Jabjack U12, it's a USB data ack module with 8 D/A inputs, and 20 configurable digital I/O.

Hi,
sounds like a very usefull tool to measure all the imprtant values while driving ... looks a little bit like a system used in race cars to see wheelspeed Gforces aso.
I was thinking about building a little Via Epia PC into my 480 with a nice touchscreen and wireless keyboard if one is neccessary ... so that it could be used as Navigationsystem Mp3Player or other phun stuff
Regards
Tobi

Did you pay the 150 or whatever the cost was for the software?rpruen wrote:The software is Daqfactory, it's an MMI interface package. No the software is the trial / lite version
It can do alarms, flashing lights, you name it. It's a full factory automation package.
I like the graphs a lot, as they show the last two mins worth of data, so you can see if something is going off and where it started to go wrong.
I will get the proper version if it will do everything I need.

I don't know how I have missed this. I have a similar setup of my own in my Peugeot. I built it up 7" touchscreen with GPS, WiFi&Bluetooth hooked to a ITX motherboard similar to Reds system. Altough now upgraded to more efficient model. I use CentraFuse (http://www.fluxmedia.net/) as the frontend.

It's wirtten in finnish, but atleast you see the pics... I haven't used that frontend for a while, but www.fluxmedia.net should have a demo of the frontend I'm currently using. It's not free but it works very well.
