It's not just a code? You have to use some sort of device to communicate with the radio, telling it everything's just fine???

its kind of a little remote key fob that sends a coded transmission to
the stereo I'm gutted that its lost

Jay TEE don't worry mate go the the car spares on Church rd Redfield Bristol on the right just past crossroads of the Fire Engine pub, give £15 and leave it with him for 2 hours and its done!!!

Hey, good to see some others from the Westcountry on here...
I have one for my S40 stereo, it's a great idea really. Just in case though, do you know if he perminently disables it or would it need re-coding should the ignition go again?

I never did make it to the shop in bristol or to return the new kenwood
I kinda like the new one just as much (and there is no transponder
)
