MW/LW radio reception

Here you can post things about ICE (In Car Entertainment). Like how to install GPS navigation, a DVD-player and other yuppie-stuff. This category might be moved to "those other things" in the end...

Think you can buy some kind of surpressor kit from most stereo shops. Or maybe there is meant to be one on the coil?

it still does it with the engine off, but when i go outside the car and touch the aerial, it suddenly sounds alright. i take my hand off the aerial and its constant crackiling, and you cant hear the station.
might see if i can get some coax and replace the aerial wire, where does the wire run?

The aerial is earthed to the car where it goes throught the bodywork. maybe it might be worth checking that out? since it gets better when you turn yourself into an extra aerial!
