Here you can post things about ICE (In Car Entertainment). Like how to install GPS navigation, a DVD-player and other yuppie-stuff. This category might be moved to "those other things" in the end...

Hi,
ich got a volvo HA4140 amplifier in good condition and thought about using it in my turbo as I own a CR906

Think that would be a nice combo.
But: My car also features a height adjustable co-drivers seat. Afaik the amplifier should be placed under the seat, but that is impossible due to the height adjusment.
Any ideas, where I could place the amp? Maybe behind the glove box, but I'm not sure if there's enough room. Or are there any other "original" mounting places?

The Amp itself measures ~16x11x9cm, but the cables extend the the needed dimensions to ~16x16x9cm

Old thread I know but I came up with own answer today. If you pull the carpet back in the passenger footwell you can slip the Volvo amp in the gap. It ends up in front of the central storage boxes basically.
Radio much improved!

Is that not where the ECU lives? (it is one the turbo!)

True. ES has lots of space. Remember my bare engine bay too!
