Volvo CR-4025 Information Required

I've just bought an '87 ES and it has this great radio fitted. The information on the main club site isn't quite right as it stated two outputs. It has 4 as it has fader control from front to rear.

What I am most interested in is the two connectors on the rear which I assume are to connect an amplifier and maybe an equaliser. They look like DIN plugs/sockets. I am hoping that if I can find the manual I can work out how to hack in a DAB radio but keep this very cool looking head unit in and use an external amplifier too.

It sounds surprisingly good.

So:

1) Does anyone have a manual for it?
2) Does anyone know about the DIN connections?
3) Does anyone know who manufactured this? It says made in Japan on it. If I can work out who made it, their equipment is probably compatible with this.

well I am assuming its the same thing you need to do an images search and cross check it with your radio.

Mine had a paper sticker on top, somewhat faded but I remember clearly that it had Panasonic written on it.

I'm afraid you can only get sound from 4 speakers if you connect an amplifier, the radio itself only outputs 2.

Yes, the connectors on the back are for an amplifier and equaliser but I have no clue about the pinouts.

Thank you so much for the information. I will try and get a vintage Panasonic amp on eBay and see if it will talk to the head unit.
