what speakers can replace the std ones?

Here you can post things about ICE (In Car Entertainment). Like how to install GPS navigation, a DVD-player and other yuppie-stuff. This category might be moved to "those other things" in the end...

I'm not a boy racer but my std speakers are shot. Are there any upgraded speakers that'll fit straight in? or does anyone know the sizes?

I just popped some pioneers in mine and it sounds tons better with an Alpine headunit to compensate you wanna be looking at 5' (13cm) speakers to replace the old paper beauts!

cheers I've brought a new head unit as my original cd player has decided it now likes to eat cd's at the same time!

I'll be buying 4x13cm speakers today.

I bought a relatively cheap set of 5' Pioneer speakers for mine, coupled with a Kenwood head unit.

Very easy swap without needing to adjust any wiring or mountings. Like you, I'm no boy racer and this basic set up certainly plays loud enough and sounds plenty clear for my ears!

Only brought 2 in the end and put them in the back as they were the bust ones, £25 from halfords...... with the new head unit it sounds so much better, also means I can control my ipod from it too, not bad for £120 ;)

No one mentioned chavs dude. You might have a big set up fair play to ya, but no ones calling anyone with a big sound system a chav? :?

they're not the same thing! maybe having a sub could make you a boy racer :hopping:

being a chav is more of a lifestyle choice...... bloody strange one at that!

Aw Cerby you are too mean to yourself! There is no way you are old!!

PS, I have a sub and amp etc, but dont consider myself a Chav! Defo a lifestyle choice-Chavs dont own cars-they steal them!

with or without a sub, I am no BOYracer tho! ;)

I just like a good soundsystem, and since i spend more time in my car than in the house, i think it makes sense to have the decent stereo in the car!! :D
