Prize Winning Volvo In PCPRO Mag

Here you can post things about ICE (In Car Entertainment). Like how to install GPS navigation, a DVD-player and other yuppie-stuff. This category might be moved to "those other things" in the end...

Prize Winning Volvo In PCPRO Mag

Post by Cerberus » Wed May 28, 2008 9:06 am

I managed to get a last minute MOT. After a week of flat out spannering.

Threw (literally) the PC install into the boot and headed to the 2008
digital car show.

Won the 'Most Ghetto' class... :D:D:D

Pics of the install to come (if you want to see them!)

Ok.. Here's a couple of pics.

Image

The boot... Some tidying to be done here to make sure I get best in show
next year and NOT most ghetto for a second time!

There is a 'lid' that needs making and then carpeting to hide all the goodies...

Image

The new 'digital' Voltmeter and Oil Pressure guage.. They fit into the switch
panel that replaces the larger of the two lower cubbies:

Just like that...

Entertaining the other show goers kids with the entire season 6 of Family
Guy... lol

Here's the Traffic Master setup.. I finished testing it on the bench last
night. All seems well so it's headed to the car soon!

More to come soon..!

Hey Cerb,

Loving all the digital gagues and general installation. If I wasn't so busy trying to sort mechanical / water leaks out I'd be all over an In car PC. Got a laptop butchured ready to go!

Let us know when you've got some more photos :D

I always make good use of my rod ;)

Tho that particular one has been taken back indoors and I have
fully functioning pneumatic erection devices now attached...
