CarPC Install Thread On Digital-Car

Here you can post things about ICE (In Car Entertainment). Like how to install GPS navigation, a DVD-player and other yuppie-stuff. This category might be moved to "those other things" in the end...

Cheers dude! Saved me a lot of photoshop work!

That front end on yours... RoadRunner with a 480 skin?

Have you tried FreeICE? I was on RR but FI just blew it away
(even tho it's in it's infancy right now)

Cheers!

freeice is cool but i don't like the look of it, i'm still using cpos from a german car-pc forum. it has everything i need and it looks just how i want to because i'm making the skins for it myself (remember i've sent you some pics with the new skin a month ago?)

maybe in some time i will try to make a flash skin, but there are a lot of other things to do, right now i'm rebuilding the carpc, don't know if i will finish this summer

I've been using the Centrafuse. I used it while it was beta and then bought it when it came ready. The GPS is integrated quite good and after the freedrive wasn't developed anymore it was the only one to hande destinator maps. And it works quite good too.

Currently the hardware is JetWay J7F3E mobo with the AMD Geode processor. Sweeps out all the Via predecessors though no mach with Intel C2D's. More than enought for CarPc installation though.
