New install

Here you can post things about ICE (In Car Entertainment). Like how to install GPS navigation, a DVD-player and other yuppie-stuff. This category might be moved to "those other things" in the end...

New install

Post by kev » Thu Apr 17, 2008 5:33 pm

Well here is what I have been doing for the last week ...

Image

These are old amps from the 90`s so I think they are in keeping with
the 480 .Sounds good too.

I thought Kev had been a bit quiet of late....

Looks very good mate. See, it was worth re-building! Have you got any of the LED's in from before? Did you use a false wooden floor or is it just built on top of the carpet?

Hi there , I did build a false floor and covered it with carpet . I have
put a led in the rear bulb holder.

Image

May need something in with the amps though.

New sub from Elemental designs ,only 3" mounting depth !

Image

Made a cover but not fitted it yet.

Notice the spare wheel cover ...shorter and vinyl

Image

Only problem is where to fit my EQ215x ? It sounds good without it but
it looks so good ..
Image

Love to let you hear it , what has happened to the meet in Wales ?

Oh rattles do you mean from the build ,dash, doors ,engine etc

I'm about to start my false boot!

Any chance of some measurements? a template? Would knock some time
off the project...

I've got a laptop and 2 amps to hide away... and an 8" sub to put 'somewhere'

:D

Hi ,I have used ply straight onto the metal floor. Well no thats not true
I did cover the metal in Dynamatt first.
I found it sits quiet well on all the ridges.I think Iused the carpet as a
template and adjusted it to suit . That was the easy one ,the top one was
a pain as the contours change through the angles.
I have a bottom one you can have but its got a cutout for a sub box .

Well I have to find a place for a sub box anyway... so if it's going spare then yes please!
