Replacing Ariel Lead

Ok the end of the ariel nearest the stereo on my car has broken, how difficult is it to replace the whole lead or would it be easier to cut and shut a new end on? Its the small lead in the centre which has broken.
Oy Wanderer thats my Smoke Silver Volvo 480 now.
