Tevion all singing cd player - £40@aldi from Thurs.

Here you can post things about ICE (In Car Entertainment). Like how to install GPS navigation, a DVD-player and other yuppie-stuff. This category might be moved to "those other things" in the end...

I bought my sis a previous model a couple of years ago. Its still alive and kicking, and sounds very good for the money.

Good deal. Just thought i'd give my brothers a heads up. ;)

good tip John ... I went for the fishing stuff a couple of months ago and it was like ikea on a sunday!

it says on the Aldi site it's also available in Black ... that'd suit the 480 way better in my opinion!

My bro bought one of an older batch, and that one overheats after half an hour of playing. All those models had that problem. So keep an eye on reviews from others to see if these have the same problem.

Seems a bargain at £40, it plays SD/MMC cards, has a USB and Analog input plus Radio/CD player with MP3CD compatibility, RCA & SUB Outputs and I/R remote. Go to Halfrauds and pick one or two of the above features with a 1 yr warranty for at least £80!

If it's also gaurenteed for 3 years, how can you loose, and just look at the spec. If I wasn't a minidisc person, I've be out to get one (or five) straight away!

I've got a black one....sent my dad out to get one. He had to queue up with the local market traders who routinely jump on these deals. Most of them were after the dvd player though, so there should be cd players left this evening.

Ok, so my father got me one of these, and i fitted it earlier.

Its a very nice unit. Much nicer than my old £160 sony one.

It plays songs off my SD card no problems, and has a usb and 3.5mm jack as well!!

All the documentation is as you'd expect from a mainstream manufacturer, and the buttons make sence. The layout is much like alpine. The volume knob clicks when you turn it, in a satisying german feeling way.

The best thing is how it looks when its lit up!

I'd say sound quality is very good...will full fader/bass/treble control by clicking the volume button to switch through.

Lovely!!
