Need dimension on fitting 6x9s replacing door pockets

Title says it all.

Im doing away with my door pockets and MDFing and 6x9ing them.

I know Chris 1 Roll has done this.

Can anyone give me the shape/dimensions they used,Im not too good at this side of things!Im pleased enough to have recently done a cambelt!:-)

Not with 6x9's I haven't, although they would fit.. There are some 16cm infinity reference series components in mine...I was under the impression 6x9s are pointless up fromt

You pretty much got to shape them from scratch, to follow the contours of teh doorcard, to the point where the MDF needs to be a tiny bit thinner in some place to get a good fit....

hmm looks like a good idea, might have to do that on my car.

Can't help thinking the 13.5s you can fit in the standard hole are a bit inadequate, I've got a sub but there's some bass missing. What's the largest speaker I can fit in the rear boxes using powertools? heh.
