Me T5 install

Here you can post things about ICE (In Car Entertainment). Like how to install GPS navigation, a DVD-player and other yuppie-stuff. This category might be moved to "those other things" in the end...

Me T5 install

Post by lee » Fri Aug 25, 2006 10:14 pm

Well I know I said I was leaving the T5 alone but it wouldn't play MP3 which I could live with as I had the 6 disk changer, but then it would play backups!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I am now in the position of needing a new unit so here is what i have done.

Comments welcome

I have replaced the doulble din unit with a flip out screen and disk holder

Added rear screens with IR headphones

Added an AV remotes flushed in the rear doors

Added an AV remote flused in the center console

DVB-T

And finally a DVD changer

All work was carried out by myself over 2 days taking me time.

Still to be added is a rear view camera and Portable PS2
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Very nice!
I just upgraded my 850 to full leather and its loads better.
Would be interested to see how you fitted the screens in the headrests. Any how-to pics?
