What do you guys use to treat your leather?

Everything that doesn't belong in the previous categories probably belongs here. Interiour (how are the seats mounted? how to remove the CEM?) and exteriour (how to replace the popup-lights shock absorbers or a door) are discussed here!

Yo!

I picked up my full leather recently which is very clean indeed.

I managed to keep my Jacquard leather pieces good with Auto Glym Leather Cleaner then Leather Care feed.

Thing is,this leather seems harder on the side sitting panels so I think they cleaned it well but didnt treat or "feed" the leather.

I've just borrowed some Meguairs Luxury Leather from me Mum who uses it on her Mazda black leather.I'm disappointed so far. This product has a proportion of Aloe Vera in the mix.I dont think it treats it as well as the Leather Care feed.

The worst thing is,when I'd put the Auto Glym stuff on it'd smell of fresh leather when you got in it the next day, this smells of a girlie make-up sesh! Nooo Ofeeennccccceeeee :D

I tried there cleaner but not the nourisher. As you say the autoglymn gives it a good smell and looks good after.

I went to a furniture-store and bought a leather treatment kit. They had two types, one sort of greasy set you use for horse-saddles and one you use for leather couches etc. They advised the latter one. I used it and must say that the leather looked awesome after it :hopping:

Yo Groomus!

My celebration had been sat for ages and the inside had more tar on it than the A303! I used saddle soap & neatsfoot oil and it came up a treat. Don't need to use much of the oil though.....

If you don't mind the smell for a few weeks and a greasy patch on yer arse, simple THE best treatment for leather is Neatsfoot Oil - it's what we use on every new piece of leather we buy for the horse's tack, especially cheap leather.

Obviously groomus would have been better treating his leather up front a couple of weeks before he fitted it, because after one decent treatment with Neatsfoot, the leather would never really need any more looking after other than the occasional wipe with an ordinary leather treatment as already mentioned.
