Wanted: Passenger side wing

Everything that doesn't belong in the previous categories probably belongs here. Interiour (how are the seats mounted? how to remove the CEM?) and exteriour (how to replace the popup-lights shock absorbers or a door) are discussed here!

Wanted: Passenger side wing

Post by WillC9303 » Mon Oct 25, 2021 10:13 am

Hello,

Iam after a good condition passenger side wing for my RHD 480. Ideally Two-Tone, but not a must as I can respray it.

Thanks all.

I've got one (I think!) - Its red, and hopefully not needed by any of the rescue cars

Hey, you could broaden your search a little as Two cars (paint code code 350) are made from colour code 314 (vase green metallic) over 306 (smoke silver metallic).

If you get a full 314 paint code wing, adding the silver would be cheaper than a full respray.

Try Lake Autos (01480212291) to see if they have any stored away

2006 Citroen C6 Exclusive 3.0 petrol/LPG
2008 Mini Cooper convertible (Mau)

J449 MNL -- ES auto
D864 CPV -- ES
L691 JFC -- Turbo
F70 MNR -- ES
H858 FGV -- Turbo auto

Thanks for the reply, but I am from the Uk, so postage would probably cost more than the wing xD.

can save you a call - Lakes have nothing!

Having seen a picture of your wing on facebook, there doesn't appear to be any rot damage - have you spoken to any dent people to see if they can repair what you've got?

I haven't yet, as I was just putting the feelers out there just to see if anyone had a two-tone wing which would save me the trouble of trying to put my one right. I originally thought that the wing had been damaged due to a dropped door, but seeing as the passenger side door pocket is also broken, I have now come to the conclusion that one of the previous owners must've reversed into a post which bent the door back, in turn damaging the wing.
I will contact a body shop tomorrow and get a quote - hopefully it's not too much, as the door hinge and A-pillar both seem to be fine.

I gave lakes a call earlier, but didn't get through to anyone. :?

Door pockets tend to break as lazy people swing their legs out and kick them when exiting!

The door hinges do fracture inside which can cause the door to swing too far back. You can’t tell until you’ve had the door panel off, but if you do a search on here, you’ll find a couple of threads about it.
