Volvo 480 Club Europe

I viewed all the current paint codes on the site, and had a look at examples for 1993, but my colour is on none of them and I'm half confused, anyone mind helping out?

It's blue on the logbook but silver on the original dealer keytag

The paint code is on the identification plate under the bonnet, "6" in this picture:

The rightmost column, under "Made in The Netherlands", shows code of country where the car was produced for (probably 15 = UK), then colour code (3 digits, after the dash is manufacturer code) and interior code (24-something)

That looks to me like the UK colour Oyster Grey Metallic, or Lavender Metallic as it was called in the rest of Europe.

I had a 1992 K plate in that colour, which I think was its last year, so your L plate was probably one of the last 1992 models and was registered very soon after Aug 1993.

Okay, so I've found colour code 319-1 I think the -1 was shade of the colour or something I think I read somewhere

That's the one

I understand that the number after the dash indicates a particular paint manufacturer since Volvo used several; the shade can vary slightly between different numbers...
