Type of bolts/screws

Everything that doesn't belong in the previous categories probably belongs here. Interiour (how are the seats mounted? how to remove the CEM?) and exteriour (how to replace the popup-lights shock absorbers or a door) are discussed here!

Type of bolts/screws

Post by Norm57 » Sat May 01, 2021 9:39 am

Hi all, my plastic cover for rear hatch/petrol flap is loose. What type of screw/bolts are they that hold it. Have tried taking a picture with phone but it won’t focus! Am hoping they are Allen bolts or Phillips because of access. Don’t want to take seat out if I don’t have to.

Do you mean the ones that hold on the grey surround which the black lever travels in?

I think these are No. 2 (the usual size) Philips screw heads.

You should be able to get in with a 90-degree screwdriver

I have this set and am pretty sure I got in no problem to the screw heads.

They are 10mm bolts Norm; you can get in with a small ratchet...

Good luck Norman.

I'm not saying I think James is wrong, btw - I do think this is one of those things that changed between earlier and later models...
