Rear speaker replacements

Everything that doesn't belong in the previous categories probably belongs here. Interiour (how are the seats mounted? how to remove the CEM?) and exteriour (how to replace the popup-lights shock absorbers or a door) are discussed here!

Rear speaker replacements

I figured out the cabling eventually but there's one dead speaker(RR) and I can't find the same size format, any leads on what to look for?

In the rear, do you have the speakers mounted on the side panel or low down in the cubby holes next to the seats?

If high up, then the speakers are circular and aren't anything special so you should be able to get something in to fit easily.
If low down then the speakers are oval shaped and are not a standard size. I do not know of any replacement other than the original. However, I doubt it is a custom Volvo speaker.... just something quite obscure.

Cubby speakers, yes... I've been looking around and there's nothing that's 8cm by 15cm. Thanks James.

Cubby speakers do occasionally come up on Ebay, but I must admit its been a while now since I saw any.

If you are sure it's the speaker not the wiring, have you considered replacing the rear side panels for a pair with speakers higher up, and having the cubby boxes back? Just thinking you could contact jifflemon with a punt on those items from 312, the Celebration we aim to break...

I guess eventually it'll have to be the case but I'm holding out. Hopefully they didn't crush another local example of this fine vehicle and perhaps I'll find a working speaker there... FINGERSCROSSED!
