Hi all
As my car is due for bodywork in the next few weeks, I am needing to put the rubbing strip on the drivers door again:
What should I do to achieve this that will last properly? I don't want it to fall off while driving in the night and never see it again
Favourite method of sticking rubbing strips on?

I'd suggest some sort of thin but squishy double sided tape, such as you might find at Car Builder Solutions.
For example:
https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/6mm-high- ... sided-tape
https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/12mm-high ... sided-tape
(this one looks a bit too "foamy", but I could be wrong: https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/double-si ... metre-roll)

The mating surfaces must be scrupulously clean by the way. Clean as in degreased with a solvent afterwards.

Due for bodywork? Leave them off, let the bodyshop stick them back on.
You don't want to stick them on, only to have the bodyshop have to battle to remove them!

I had been pondering that very thing, I have decided to put the strip in the car, so it doesn't get lost
