Hi folks,
My ongoing quest against rust (am I winning? not sure, will tell you when I weld most of the rear outer sills)
But, am I right in thinking the rear bumper comes off by unbolting the two bolts just behind rear wheel underneath (that bolt into metal in the arch - or at least would if anything left of them) and then the screws, one recessed at each side of bumper then the row on the metal bar along the middle?

Thank you!

Took me at least several days once it was off, spraying and testing the screws to get the metal strips off.
They can be an absolute bugger but enough penetrant and pressing hard on the screwdriver they will come off, tightening it and then loosening can also help.
The screws/mounts for the rear mudguards on mine were also well gone, which left some nice holes in my boot. Still not sorted a new fixing for them yet either.
Best of luck!

sod that , angle grinder to cut slots for a flat head OR chop the heads off :-)
the end ones just bend the metal tabs off and then the skin will wiggle over it so you can get a grip of the remains with vice grips

try builders reinforcing strips, use for the droplinks and they are galvanized :-) I posted a link to them previously
