Under Bonnet Deadening/Insulation

Everything that doesn't belong in the previous categories probably belongs here. Interiour (how are the seats mounted? how to remove the CEM?) and exteriour (how to replace the popup-lights shock absorbers or a door) are discussed here!

shame on you for not having a piece of padding under bottom edge,
That's the joys of
a) Having a car with more damaged panels than good ones.
b) Spares!

Thanks for this post. Have just ordered up the 20mm bonnet insulation with foil covering.
My 2 litre 480 only has a cut out in the middle of the middle section of the old insulation.
Would like to ask, do diffident engine sizes 1.7, 1.7 Turbo or 2 litre have different insulation cut outs ?
Think my old insulation cut out is for the 2 litre fuel injection mechanism.
Will report back how it goes and with some pictures.
Cheers, Richard.

You're on to your 8th 480 ?
I haven't even seen that many 480's in whole of my life so far and I have driven about 30k a year for the last 28 years for work.
Cheers, Richard.

Puds bonnet was had the correct insulation bonnet layout. Just mimic that and you should be fine.

I do think they were different between models - If I remember I'll grab some photos of the ones I've got.

Then you definitely need to come along to the next meet!

As Jeff says, just use the existing foam on Pud as a template.
