Anyone know what these are for ?
Al took them off the seats and couldn't see that they did anything so he hasn't put them back on.

No idea - the Volvo service book on the seats shows them as part of the exploded diagram but doesn't actually mention them throughout the whole process of seat dismantling.

of course, silly me. Considering Al worked on ejector seats back in his RAF days, I'm surprise he didn't recognise them !
