Hi All,
Was just scraping out some rust in the boot and I finally went right through a bit with my screwdriver Anyhow the weak metal had had some silicone sealant on top of it so I had missed the rust up until today. It looks to me like a previous owner had bunged up the hole to try and keep the spare wheel area dry? ( took a photo of both sides- not sure how to load it up) the less rusted side also has a hole and I think the sealant was covering a drain?
Anyhow, Im just curious to know if I should try and leave a gap for the water to exit when I get my filler out later today!
Best
Tim

Hi,
Here, you can upload pictures, copy the link and past it on your message:

Leave a draining hole, in the case you don't want to an acuarium on the spare wheel area. The rear of every 480 tends to leak.

Hi Baxter, thanks for getting back to me, I got the following when I clicked on your link-

But the two holes I'm talking about look like they are supposed to let water drain into the spare wheel cavity so that it can drain out through the hole at the bottom- The pics are on the 480 facebook forum https://www.facebook.com/groups/5381186515/?fref=ts
Thanks again
Tim
