The aircon dryer / accumulator quest.

Everything that doesn't belong in the previous categories probably belongs here. Interiour (how are the seats mounted? how to remove the CEM?) and exteriour (how to replace the popup-lights shock absorbers or a door) are discussed here!

The aircon dryer / accumulator quest.

This is a never ending story when it comes to air contitioner.

Recently got all the system converted to R134 gas, all pipes cleaned, all bad joints renewed. Also new compressor. After 2 weeks in the garage this "aircon specialist" guy couldn't find a propper replacement for the dryer/accumulator. Tells me the aircon won't cool enough because this dryer filter is on it's last breathe, that he has tried cleaning it up but it should better be replaced.

I believe my system is a MK1

When I look for this 3457790 reference all I get is MK2 dryers. What I've found to be more likely is this ACR 170139 Dryer, which is in theory suitable for Volvo 850 and V70

But again this one doesn't have this valve on top mine has. What is this valve for? Is it dispensable?

Been 2 months after the right accumulator... Help !!!!
