Dash surround

Just noticed a small crack in the corner of the dash surround, passenger side.. Is there any way to prevent it getting worse?.. I'm thinking probably not.

weak point there matey, I think. My 1993 car is pretty bad there...got a spare just need to find the time to switch over. 460 dash slightly improved in this respect
