Peeling Lacquer

Everything that doesn't belong in the previous categories probably belongs here. Interiour (how are the seats mounted? how to remove the CEM?) and exteriour (how to replace the popup-lights shock absorbers or a door) are discussed here!

Peeling Lacquer

Post by Martin Mc » Tue Jun 26, 2012 2:06 pm

My 95 ES (70k) is suffering from patchy and peeling lacquer, recently made much worse by my son's attempt to clean the car with a power washer. I guess the best solution would be to go for a respray, but was wondering if anyone on here had any tips or had encountered (and overcome) similar problems?

Cheers!

Martin

This colour seems particularly prone to peeling lacquer. I believe the trick is to not let it start in the first place, and not use a pressure washer-mine has the same problems on the bumpers due to such an encounter with modern technology.
