Rust on top of A-pillar
This is where the A-pillar meets the roof and it is starting to look nasty. I fixed some surface rust but now I see rust coming from the inside. Please shed some light on this and if there are ways to fix it without spending a fortune.

There is no light. At all. Its pretty much sure, that its looks something like this:
You cant really stop the corrosion without taking the windshield off.. Sorry.
Check this set. There are more photos about this subject.

Man that looks bad
If I don't do anything how long would it last before it gets to bad?

Re: Rust on top of A-pillar
I dont know. Until you remove the windshield it cant be really seen. Maybe you should remove the roof panel from inside, and check water leaks. I had a leak from the rust spot on the roof edge. But if you want an advice, dont let it rust too long. It can be very expensive if you let the corrosion spread, especially that most of the mechanics cant fix it in the proper way, so you will really need to find a good one, if you dont want to see rust in the next ten years.

I had the same problem. Must admit, i was shocked when i saw those pictures...
Drilled out the rivets on the rain gutter and I had a look to see what was going on. Fortunatly not as bad as the pictures, but still action needed. Managed to make a small hole in the upper skin with a screwdriver, then sprayed (lots of) waxoyl in the hole.
Painted the exposed surafaces with rust inhibitor, then when dry, painted the whole area with black hammerite.
Now drying and hope it will be good enough to prevent any further corrosion.
The newest 480s are 16 years old now, and if you keep it outside, its going to rust no matter what you do...

Eyup Suddy!!!
Sorry to hears yours is suffering this typical and terminal Wedge-fate!
Roo's white Turbo was like this.Yet the Charger was mint! His had half the mileage.Hmmmm.
We finally realised ... one had spent its entire life near the sea in Devon. The Charger ... not so!
Roo purchased a piece of steel he was going to let in to do a roof repair. When his brother popped the screen out,it was shocking along the top.Much worse than in the bare metal examples here.
As said matey,it has no cure, bar letting in new metal.
And hang on......thats not VFC!
