Smashed wing mirror

Everything that doesn't belong in the previous categories probably belongs here. Interiour (how are the seats mounted? how to remove the CEM?) and exteriour (how to replace the popup-lights shock absorbers or a door) are discussed here!

Smashed wing mirror

Post by red480gt » Sun Feb 15, 2004 9:00 pm

What a world we live in, woke up today to find my passenger wing mirror all over the raod. Glass ok, but the shell and surrond had been cleaned right off.

Managed to glue the black rim of then mirror and replace it on the car, the coloured shell was a bit worse for ware. The locating tabs had all broken.

I didnt want to shell out for new one, so i used 4 trusty cable ties (what would the world be like with out cable ties). I drilled the remainder of the tabs and fed the ties thro and straped the shell to the metal part of the mirror.

from the outside its as good as new.
