Window leak sealing

Everything that doesn't belong in the previous categories probably belongs here. Interiour (how are the seats mounted? how to remove the CEM?) and exteriour (how to replace the popup-lights shock absorbers or a door) are discussed here!

Window leak sealing

Post by Captain Slow » Tue Mar 15, 2011 7:01 pm

So, in addition to slighly leaking rear lights my left rear window is leaking from the usual place. I dont much fancy removing the window so its gonna be a squirt of sealant from the inside job.

Obviously acidic, silicone sealants, and hardening sealants should be avoided but I cannot find anything in St Andrews satisfying this...hence I wondered if anyone could recommend any specific products-I know 3M are favoured for the rear lights...

my drivers rear window leaks im pretty sure as when you press slightly from the outside the whole window moves! how hard is it to remove the window? i have removed all the paneling from the inside around it. id like to remove it to see if its broken but want to be able to get it back in.

25 seconds to remove rear side window , 2 minutes to replace.

simples as my meerkat friends keep telling me.
