how to remove ?

Everything that doesn't belong in the previous categories probably belongs here. Interiour (how are the seats mounted? how to remove the CEM?) and exteriour (how to replace the popup-lights shock absorbers or a door) are discussed here!

how to remove ?

Post by Zerbot » Thu May 28, 2009 5:19 pm

how do you remove the plastics around the gearstick , and the vem/volt/1din plastic rack

i have stripped the instrument panel as much as ive figured out ,
and in doing so noticed that some previus owner has been working with wood,

fine powdered sawdust everywhere and specialy from the vents

would like to get a hold of the plastics so that they can be washed and the vents to be cleaned and if possible the fan unit.

what do i remove and how to reach these parts ?

Looks to me almost like rusty water..

You sure your heater matrix aint leasking bud, looks like that sort of rusty dark anti freeze...

And yeah the whole dash needs to come out to clean it all properly, i removed all my dash and heater in 40 mins..

where are the bolt/screws for the dash found , i located some in the center below the rack , are there others on the sides ?

and where are the screws for the shift stick cover ?

to be honest i have no idea what that gunk is , it looks like very fine powdered saw dust ,like somethings been sanded , it can very well be rust ,

oh well ,. hehe

Put a screwdriver up between the trim and the lagre cubby in the centre console and push the 4 retaining lugs inwards the large cbby will now come out as will the swtches above it. The small cubby below it can be removed but it has only 2 lugs .
Remove the ashtray and there is a screw underneath it and if your look upwards after the cubbies and switch has been removed you should see the retaining screw there. :D

fantastic

the boot pice i mean is the other the LARGE one that is around that one ,

everything else is right spot on

, you wouldent happen to have a uk passangers side back rest seat cussion lying around with this fabric ?
I just need the backrest cussion ,

Image

i though it might be wiser to find an uk side passangers seat then a driverside over here since the driverside is usualy the one thats most torn,

mines been used as birds nest material , very nice picking holes

there was a couple of more bits i needed , but i m still waiting for callback from the scarpper if the seatbelts are the right ones or not ,

Damned shoe fashionistas

These are an old old pair of el cheapo indestructible trainers with welded up knots on the scruffy laces so I just slip them on and off and can scuff the ar** off of them without caring

However for only £100 inc postage these wonderful shoes can be all yours and just think of it you can send one each to two people you dont like or for an incredible bargain buy one at £110 and get the other one completely free

(they say the grunge look is making a come back now! )

Just be glad I am not a naturist      !

Well those online translators work really bad with finnish. You should see some user manuals that are translated with those :D

But what in earth have you tried to translate on the first place? :D

Dakky

it came from this website that I found one day when browsing the internet looking for linguistic web sites. Its absolutely hilarious     if somewhat crude

have pm 'ed you the web address

ignore the eye candy at the side.

Still finnish is a linguistic outlier just the same as basque and hungarian ! Isnt language fascinating:D

Had an argumnt he other day about scandinavians , finns are not scandinavian but a uniquely distinctive grouping.
