Another cause of wet boot.

Everything that doesn't belong in the previous categories probably belongs here. Interiour (how are the seats mounted? how to remove the CEM?) and exteriour (how to replace the popup-lights shock absorbers or a door) are discussed here!

Another cause of wet boot.

Post by martinholmesuk » Fri Jan 09, 2004 6:42 pm

Sorry the pictures at not very good, I was closing my boot when I thought I could hear water running.

I opened the boot again and shut it very slowly! I could hear it again :cryhard: YES It's water going down my boot window lid!!

Look at these pictures and your see where the water is hiding. I could see it draining into my boot and making it wet

Everyone should go and check the glad lip surrounds for water this weekend.

Yes, that's where my car is wet too. It's caused (on my car at least) by water entering through the cable harnass that is attached at the top of the rear window

on my car the water just seems to drip through at 3 or 4 places along the top seal with the door closed - is this the same thing tyhat martin is saying?

I had problems with water coming through the boot door seal, it was seeping under it (capillary action??). Anyway, another tube of silicone cured the leak.
