Hello
I am in the process of getting my '87 back on the road.
Working on the rear brakes/suspension and the metal bumper just crumbled to bits (Beyond repair).
I saw a forum post from 2016 that some guy is making repro ones from fiberglass. Does someone know if he is still producing them? Or if someone has a decent original one I would be interested.
Thanks in advance,
tont

Re: In search of rear bumper (metal piece)
I recently fitted one of bartek4's fibreglass bumpers (thread linked by James) so I can vouch for their quality. I'll see if I can sort some pictures in due course, but fundamentally imagine your bumper bar except without all the rust and holes, and obviously made of fibreglass so it'll never rust again.
All very straightforward - remove the old one (sounds like you've already done that), attach the new one into the outer skin with some SS self tappers, then bolt back onto the car (the four mounting bolts come pre-fitted).
I believe they are still for sale, although I'm not sure how often bartek4 checks the forum. If you're interested send me a PM and I'll put you in touch with him directly.
