Lowering a 2.0ES

Post by Sander » Wed Mar 08, 2006 2:08 pm

I want to fit 17 inch rial daytona rims (with 205/40 tires) under my 480, and lower it about 40mm, fit yellow koni shocks, will this get me any scrubbage? and what springs are good (don't sack to much like PI's)?

but what was it again whit lowering a 2.0 version? something about the cat being to close to the ground?

oh one more question, there are 3 sizes, which one do i need for the 480? and does anyone have expirience with Pirelli P7000's?

You won't fit any of these rims on 480. You'll need 4x100

Doe het niet !!!
Don't do it !!!!

On a 2.0 the exhaust is already lower than on a turbo or 1,7 n/a.

You will get troubles with your exhaust and wheelarches.
Believe me, I had a lowered turbo (KONI yellow and Intrax (-4 cm) springs and with 4 normal weight persons I got scrubbage, when driving on Taurus rims and normal tyresize for these Taurus rims (195/55 R15).

If you want to lower make it a max of 3 cm.

Well, that kinda sucks. What part of the exhaust is lower than the 1,7 version? What exactly is different about the 2.0 than an 1.7 or a turbo (wheelarches? suspension? exhaust?)?

Rear axle is wider from what I hear.

Mat's Blinky had a turbo axle fitted after he bent the ES axle so they do fit.
