front tyre wear

Post by Roo » Wed Sep 28, 2005 6:57 pm

is it normal for the inside edge of the front tyres to wear out first? i'm now looking at having my two front tyres swapped to opposite sides to get some more wear from them. The car was laser tracked last year so i would have thought that would have helped?

Had my tracking done just after I bought the car earlier on this year, noticed just before the meet that both my front tyres were gone on the inner edges, had them changed and tracking checked again, bloody thing was miles out, have it checked again - it's worth it

Hey Roo,Id check that your front wishbone bushes aint shot too mate.

Pretty pointless getting yer tracking checked if theyre gone.Mart H and I both recently changed ours using the Scantech (who make em for Volvo) wishbones and lower ball joints (I seem to remember u only changed yer track rod ends?????).You can get these wishbones with the bushes in already for only £45 each instead of stupid Volvo prices and only £11 each for the lower joints!

Braydon Motor Company are one of the agents for Scantech, theyre on 0208 985 2255 and do next day delivery too! :D
