Lyra alloys

Post by Anton_K » Tue Jun 28, 2005 11:36 am

Hi,
I´m propably going tomorrow to look at a set of Lyra alloys.
Image
Is the black center-cap (with volvo) a part of the alloy or does it come of? I´m asking becouse the owner said he don´t remember if the alloys have centre-caps and belived they came without.

Very nice alloys, I think :)

cheers for the PM Anton!
yep, the plastic cap is removeable but i think you can buy them seperately if your wheels come without them. also i have seen the centre caps on different types of non 400 series wheels so you shouldnt have too much trouble getting a set.
good luck :D

I've the lyra's also. A brand new set with shiny VOLVO caps. :hopping: I want to wait my tires are tired down. Than I can fix them with new ones.

But this type of alloys is made by ATS. I've seen this alloys also with TOYOTA caps  (maybe that's why I did not fitted them yet

wow.... you aren't swapping your 15" Cetus for 14" Lyra are you? :?
I don't think I'd change back to 14"... still I guess Lyra are rarer...

Very nice! I have the same situation :) will put them under next season(next spring).

Brasco@,
Yeah, I think Lyras are rare on 480´s, only seen a set on Murfs car. Anyway, I´m not bothered Lyras beeing 14", they are btw. wider than the Cetus rims. Not going to sell any set though..you never know when the 480 fever hits

I thought the lyra's made for the volvo 4 serie as exclusive option. But mostly for the 440 and 460 in the latest series (96/97) So the are very rare on a 480 cause the build till 1995. I'd seen a 440 with (black and muddy :badmood: ) lyra's too.

If you have a good alloy cleaner it's just a piece of cake. Spraying, waiting, and high pressure washing! They must be clean then!
